Help with gauge please
Ok, my learning curve is big, I just figured out how to post.
Nothing to show yet, just a really long gauge with a result of the st stitch gauge with a needle size 4 and the pattern with a size 3 - using Cascade 220.
What is wrong with me? Is that ok to use teeny needles?
Should I change yarns?
I am itching to get started. thanks, Lori

Hi Lori,
I knit very loosley (Im a Continental knitter) and so I find I usually have to go down a few size needles for almost every project I do.
I figure that if the swatch looks good and I am getting gauge, then it's a sure go for the pattern.
We all have different tensions..so dont let the size of the needle hang you up too much. =)
Thanks Melanie. I am off now to buy some longer needles.
The 12" that I was using just won't cut it.
Its amazing how sloppy things can look when I use the needles called for. So I guess I knit loosely too, I always get mixed up with gauge. thank you.
